Katrina!!!!!!!!!!

What did I say? The damn world also looks at everything with two things in mind. See, even sentences are ridden by the sick stupid mind. What has happened to people? Over the last few weeks, I have observed empathy, sympathy and nothingness from people. On the television set, you get to see the first two characteristics, but take a close look around you and you see people who say that they are so sad about the people but that is where it ends. the discussion then goes back to how much the next house is gonna cost.

Hell, even I must be outta my mind 'coz even I sat here not even thinking of joining the samaritans roaming the affected areas but looking out for jobs. A close friend of mine says that people who are strong in their own bases can help others, or else they fail and fall on their own faces. But who falls? The one sitting on his ass or the one riding the horse?

Who is to say what will be the fate of allthose affected? I know this: by the time humanity gathers itself and decides that the heart is where life is, the mind would have destroyed it and left a space devoid of things that actually matter.

I had once written something. I think it went like this:

O river! While you move around,
Talk to me while I hear your sound.
You have always been fair,
While you break one bank,
You build the other side with flair.
But there are times when you leave everything broken,
What signs are you sending, why the token?

What about the woman who cries,
Longing for her child,
As she puts its little head on her lap,
A deep ache behind her breast,
When she looks for the last time before
Putting her to rest.

Why?

I think these words are just words,
But I am not a poet,
Just an angry young man,
I surely would like to understand
God's Great incomprehensible plan
I have seen so many such incidents and will see so many more
Until these moments stop and I live no more.
